Memory Verse: Week of March 5th
Week of March 5th
Isaiah 54:7–8
[7] For a brief moment I deserted you, but with great compassion I will gather you.
[8] In overflowing anger for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,” says the LORD, your Redeemer. (Isaiah 54:7–8 ESV)
[Context: In this passage, God reveals himself as husband to his people. Ultimately God’s plan for his bride will be realized and it will be so good that all the past difficulties will be forgotten. There will be moments when we can feel forgotten and deserted, and even being punished, but our Lord is our Redeemer and will take those moments and actually use them to draw us near to Him.
May this passage remind us that our trials and struggles are temporary and our compassionate Redeemer will gather us to him! ]
